Tim Burke has worked for a variety of Cable TV, Broadband, Mobile and Telephone Company operators over the last forty years. During that time period he has led product development, technology, engineering, network operations, business development, strategy and M&A technical due diligence functional areas. For the last sixteen years he worked for the Liberty family of companies. He served as the Vice President of Wireless Product, Engineering and Operations at Liberty Latin America and was based in Panama. He was responsible for all aspects of the LLA wireless network across 23 countries and five million customers. At Liberty Global, he served as the Vice President of Strategic Technology and worked on key wireless, video, broadband, telephony and B2B technology projects in Europe, Caribbean, Latin America and Asia. Prior to Liberty, Mr. Burke worked at Level 3 in their lead contract negotiations position and Qwest Communications as Vice President-Wireless Technology. Mr. Burke also spent two years at Sprint Communications in leadership positions building their nationwide mobile core and roaming network. Prior to Sprint, Tim started his career at Verizon in both the fixed and wireless business. At Verizon Wireless, Mr. Burke was directly involved in the engineering development, launch and ongoing network operations of their cellular business in the New York, Massachusetts and Virginia networks. He also served as an account executive selling business services to banks and financial institutions in Manhattan. He started his career as a central office and outside plant engineer at New York Telephone in 1981. Mr Burke holds a B.S. Degree in Mathematics from Siena College and an MBA from the University of New York at Albany and has published numerous wireless and cable industry technical articles and white papers.
